Allen Butler has over 25 years of executive experience in the recording industry.  He served as President of Sony Music Nashville for 10 years.  At Sony, Allen quarterbacked and led the team responsible for maintaining the careers of Johnny Cash, Patty Loveless, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Colin Raye, and many others. Additionally, Allen initiated the launching of the careers of the Dixie Chicks, Montgomery Gentry, Buddy Jewel, Billy Gillman, and Travis Tritt.  Allen is a knowledgeable, experienced, and self-motivated industry leader.  His leadership in marketing, management and promotional success is founded upon quality, integrity, respect, creativity, team development, profitability, reputation and achievement.  Allen was the leader responsible for driving Sony Music Entertainment to its largest growth on record.  Here, he reported directly to the President/Chairman of Sony Worldwide and was fully responsible of all division assets. Among his responsibilities, Allen spearheaded strategic planning for all label activities and departments, identified and signed talent, and managed artist relations.  During this time, Allen revitalized a company not taking advantage of industry growth and grew the company from $43M to $125M. Before Sony, Allen was Vice President of Arista.  Here, he expanded profits from 0 to over 45 million in a little over 3 years.  At Arista, Allen was also head of promotion and artist development, where he helped to guide the careers of Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, and numerous other successful artists.

Charles Vessels began his musical career at the ripe old age of 18 under the tutelage of Freddie Mancusso. Freddie was the promotion guru for the 70’s phenom, Three Dog Night.  A year later Freddie went on to become President of Chrysalis Records and Vessels took over that promotion job with Three Dog Night. Being energetic and self motivated, he worked Jay Lasker (President of Dunhill Records) to let him quarterback the first two records of Steely Dan. His easy going manner and the ability to get things done made it easy for him to fit in anywhere the music business would take him. One of the top promoters in the world, Ernie Phillips offered Vessels a job as an independent record promoter with his company, FM Entertainment.  Soon Larry Frazin and Larry Tolinm, managers for Paula Abdul, came looking for Vessels. He went to work for Elektra Records in 1991.  Here, he promoted Abdul and Metallica.  Having worked on both sides of the desk, Vessels left Elektra in 1998 to start his own business.  “My dream has always been to make the dreams of others come true”. In 2000 he started his own management company and signed the first act he took on. River Road had 3 top 20 hits for Capitol Records.  Promotions, getting the word out, and sales come naturally to Charles.  Today, he continues to consult and additionally runs Big Op Media, an advertising agency specializing in creative campaigns and media buying.

Jeff Thomas a Telly award-winning television commercial producer, Thomas is also a seasoned writer and an award winning feature Film Director.  His first feature, the Indie hit “13 Seconds” has won numerous accolades and awards, including:  Best Feature at the New York International Film Festival – Best Feature from the Fantastic Festival of Films held in the UK awarded by bestselling author Ramsey Campbell – Best Picture and Best Horror Picture from the Bare Bones International Film Festival – Best Independent Feature from the Calgary International Film Festival. His work has played in over 30 domestic and international film festivals.  With great reviews from TNT’s Monster Vision, United Press International’s Joe Bob Briggs, and The Las Vegas Journal. His work was widely released onto DVD, Pay-Per-View and Video-On-Demand in an ever-expanding catalogue of foreign territories. Jeff has carved out a name in the film and television world through his work with Warner Brothers pictures, the Dodge Superbowl commercial starring Clint Eastwood, projects for the Sci Fi Channel, reality telivision shows, and Music videos. His film work has rocketed to incredible movie making heights in a short period of time, poising him as a leader recognized by respected colleagues throughout the industry. With a reputation for delivering, the list of filmmaking projects continues to grow with the “Turning Famous” film.  Blazing new paths, he will focus his directing talents on creating the most visually stunning and dramatic masterpiece that will set new standards in the art of film-making.

Atticus Sumner has been on an entertainment journey for over 20 years. Many have referred to him as “phenomenal, inspiring and brilliant”. As one of the best percussive dancers, he is considered a dance musician and is said to “Rock like Jim Morrison, and dance like Fred Astaire”. He created one of the largest and longest lasting dance organizations of it’s kind. He founded and leads the “Million Taps for a Million Kids” campaign, which inspires youth to use dance as a form of exercise to fight the childhood obesity that is plaguing our country. He has performed at the Fox Theater in Detroit, opened for the Grand Ole Opry with Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys, Hank Williams Jr., Ricky Skaggs, Holly Dunn, and the Bellamy Brothers. Atticus has also worked with Tom Monaghan, founder of Domino’s Pizza, Olympic Medalist Judy Brown, Willard Scott, Minnie Pearl and award winning hip hop artist “G-Reality”. Atticus has performed throughout the United States for millions as a dancer and has entered the music industry with his own original music. Inspired by his history in the entertainment industry as well as his own life lessons, Atticus is positioned to take the Silver Screen in what is sure to be a nationally recognized musical phenomenon that will showcase the best material of his career.

Project Overview

Atticus Sumner, Dancer/Performer/Entrepreneur, recently released a book commemorating 25 years of entertaining and teaching. The title is called “Turning Famous” by L.R.Watkins. Now he has been placed as the leading role in the upcoming film with the same title.

Immediately after release a copy was put into the hands of film maker Jeff Thomas who is both a Director and Producer. He has won numerous film making awards for his films and commercials. He has worked with paramount and Mira Max which are two of the largest movie companies for distribution purposes. After meeting Atticus Jeff Thomas offered to make a film based on the goal of reaching 1 million kids with CardioClog, a positive exercise past time to help win the fight against childhood obesity.
